REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS
To begin the process to become a Sustainable Jersey Certified™ municipality, you must register. Registering does not commit a municipality but it is required to satisfy eligibility requirements for the Sustainable Jersey Grants program and to provide priority access to State funds, such as the Municipal Energy Audit program. Only municipalities or organizations formally designated to represent the municipality may register.
There are three steps to registration:- Pass a municipal resolution stating your intent to seek Sustainable Jersey Certification and designating an entity to be in charge of the process. Refer to our sample resolution to help you with this process.
- Fill out the registration fields below by providing municipal and contact information and uploading a copy of your resolution passed in Step 1.
- When prompted on the next page, indicate what Actions your municipality is thinking of implementing, and what Actions for which you would like training assistance. This does not commit you to these Actions nor does it lock your municpality into a training commitment but helps us plan our program.
Once your registration is submitted and reviewed for completeness, you will be notified by email and provided with a User ID and Password to access your municipal profile on the Sustainable Jersey website. Approval of your registration will take 1-3 days. When you Log In, you will be able to begin filling out your application for Certification.
